Ministry of Human Research and Development Say Information Technology is an important tool for development of different areas of knowledge economy. India is emerging as a global player in the field of Information Technology. There has been a steady rise of software and IT sector in India since 1990’s. As the IT industry is expanding rapidly, manpower requirement is growing exponentially. In order to develop manpower for different areas of the knowledge economy, education and training of information technology is a core prerequisite.
Information technology today has taken birth as the biggest power. Every private and government offices and all operations are being operated through the internet. In such a situation, the Information Technology will provide thousands jobs to well trained professionals. so That’s why we need to provide good education of IT and prepare IT professionals.
In order to produce Information Technology Professionals, I.T education requires a high quality competence and infrastructure. Today, new packages, newer versions of current software and new technological tools are being adopted by the trade and industry periodically. The education therefore, must catch up with these developments well in time so that I.T students do not face the problem of obsolescence. The Institute of Information Technology (IIT-CEC) feels the underlying concepts of new technology and tools along with reasonable skills be delivered to the students before they go out in the industry.
My dream is that every poor family of India can understand computer knowledge and get a good job. With this hope, we formed this society so that by providing computer education in low fees, everyone could contribute to the growing way of “Digital India”.
I have full confidence that by 2020, by establishing knowledge centers in all the villages and cities of the country, by connecting the people with computer education, we will prepare good young people for the country so that they get good employment opportunities and the country can end unemployment.
